Tis the season for holiday entertaining. How are you celebrating this holiday season? From family gatherings, parties with friends to charity events, I’ve been keeping plenty busy. I just love getting involved in as many activities as I can this time of year, because there is just so much to do!

If you’ve been feeling like you didn’t have enough planned this season and wish you could’ve done more, now is the perfect time to start planning for next year.

Whether you want to host an event yourself or help with someone else’s function, I’ve got some entertaining ideas that will help make your holidays merry and bright.

Girls’ Night in

What better way to celebrate another year of amazing friendships than hosting your very own pajama party. Something about lounging around in your most comfortable clothes makes for the perfect kind of night.

Here’s what I had planned:

Foot massages – I had these stations set up in my home and provided a selection of different quality massage lotions and oils.

Dance party – I set up Dance 2022 on my living room TV and had everyone dance their hearts out. It was so much fun to dance alongside my friends, especially since we haven’t had a chance to cut loose in a while.

Secret Santa White Elephant Gift Exchange – a classic with a twist! To be a bit mischievous since these were my dear neighbors and friends, I opted for a ‘naughty or nice’ gift exchange. Needless to say, we all went ‘naughty’ (lol). What a hit with my girlfriends!

And of course, there was plenty of food and bubbly!

Charity Fundraising Ideas

I love getting involved in my son’s activities whenever I can. I love doing creative and fun events that bring our community together and create impact in our children’s lives.

If you’re looking for some fun ideas – try these for size!

For one of our events, we turned our children’s drawings into wrapping paper. This adorable idea was a big hit with both the children and the adults. It is a creative way to involve the children and help them produce viable products that are useful and unique.

Some children sold custom magnets and ,’wolf poop’ (aka hot chocolate bombs – another big hit with the children!) to support the charity.

Overall, it was extremely rewarding to see my son and all his friends get involved & work hard to support a charitable cause. This is the kind of holiday activity I recommend to all parents!

Table Tips & Tricks

Ever thought about how to serve fruit at a party? I love serving fruit kabobs in a vase for family dinners, birthday parties, summer picnics and potlucks.

Choose 2-3 different fruits that are in-season, cut into manageable sizes and carefully slide them onto a skewer stick. It’s great because you don’t need to worry about utensils – it’s an easy and beautiful way to serve fruit.

And Finally – Inspiration for Your Tablescape

Nothing brings you closer to your loved ones than sharing a meal together. From scrumptious turkey and stuffing with all the trimmings, to yummy desserts, there are so many ways to make this night special!

I love personalizing gifts for guests – feels so much more intimate and fun when you receive a custom gift, don’t you think?

For Thanksgiving one year, I made custom photo magnets with each guest and I and placed them on each table setting. Guests loved them and took them home as little souvenirs.

Candles will always be my favorite mood setting decor! However this year instead of candles, I found these great, battery-operated light-up ceramic houses.

I wrote a small personal greeting on each house and used them as seating indicators for our guests.

This creative display makes your table setting feel homier and more lived-in, and it’s sure to delight anyone who sees it.

The holidays are my favorite time of the year and these are just a some of the ways I celebrated this season. It’s been a whirlwind of a year and I want to thank you for sharing my journey with me.
