Your entryway is the first thing you see when you walk into your home, and it’s also the first place where clutter can accumulate. For most of my clients (and let me know if this is you as well), one of the biggest challenges is organizing our shoes.
If you’re anything like me, you probably have a lot of shoes, and they can quickly take over your entryway if not properly organized. In this blog post, I want to share some tips for organizing your entryway and keeping your shoes in perfect shape.
One of the best ways to organize your shoes is by creating a dedicated shoe closet. This can be a small closet in your entryway or even a larger space elsewhere in your home, like in your master closet or your mudroom.
By having a designated place for your shoes, you’ll be able to easily find the pair you’re looking for and keep them in good condition. If you don’t have a closet, consider installing a shoe rack or shelves somewhere in your home where space permits it.
Shoe Slots Organizers are a great way to keep your shoes organized and in good shape.
These simple yet effective organizers allow you to stack your shoes on top of each other, maximizing your storage space and keeping your shoes from getting scuffed or damaged. You can easily find these organizers online by searching for “shoe slot organizer”
To use Shoe Slots Organizers, simply place one shoe on top of the other, and slide them onto the shelf. You can now clearly see each pair and pull them out without disturbing the rest of the stack.
This is a great option if you have limited space in your entryway or want to keep your shoes neatly organized.
How to organize shoes is still one of my most viewed videos of the 14-day Organization Challenge I held last year. Take a look at the video below.

Another way to keep your shoes organized is by categorizing them. You can organize them by color, style, or season, depending on your preference.
This will make it easier to find the pair you’re looking for and also help you keep your shoes in good condition.
For example, you can store your boots in a separate section from your sandals, or separate your high heels from your sneakers.
Pro Tip: Rotate your eye-level selection with each changing season.
Taking good care of your shoes is essential for ensuring they last as long as possible and stay looking great. To keep your shoes in top condition, start by cleaning them regularly using a soft-bristled brush or damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
For tougher stains, you may need to use a specialized cleaner or conditioner, depending on the type of material your shoes are made from. You should also be sure to protect your shoes from moisture by using waterproofing sprays or other treatments, especially if you live in an area with a lot of rain or snow.
Finally, make sure you store your shoes properly when you’re not wearing them, using shoe trees or inserts to help maintain their shape and prevent creases from forming over time.
Organizing your entryway and keeping your shoes in perfect shape may seem like a daunting task, but with these tips, it’s easier than you think.
By creating a dedicated shoe closet, using Shoe Slots Organizers, organizing your shoes by category, and making sure you regularly clean and care for your shoes, you can keep your entryway tidy and your shoes looking great.
So next time you walk into your home, take a look at your entryway and think about how you can organize it to make your life easier. With a little effort and creativity, you can create a welcoming and organized space that will make you proud to call it home.
