Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past year with gratitude and excitement. 2024 was full of growth, creativity, and connection, and I couldn’t have done it without you—the readers who show up, engage, and share your own stories with me.
Looking back, there were a few blog posts that really stood out. These were the articles you loved, shared, and found the most helpful. Revisiting them feels like catching up with old friends—each one carries valuable lessons and memories from the year. So, let’s dive into the top five posts of 2024, what made them special, and why they mattered to me and, hopefully, to you.
This post is close to my heart because it grew from a proud parenting moment with my son Nick. He noticed he needed more folders for school and took the initiative to not only get them but organize and label them himself. It was a simple act, but it showed me how much he’s learning from the systems I’ve put in place.
Teaching kids organizational habits early equips them with life skills they’ll use forever. From creating a “Ready Zone” for mornings to letting kids label their own bins and folders, this post explored practical, hands-on ways to make organizing fun and empowering for children.
I’ve always believed that small habits build great foundations. Seeing Nick apply these lessons reinforced just how effective these steps can be.
This post was inspired by my own kitchen redesign journey. When I first designed my apartment kitchen, I was so excited about having an island—but I didn’t account for how it would disrupt the flow. That frustration taught me just how critical layout is in a small space.
Whether you’re dealing with a narrow galley or a compact L-shaped kitchen, the layout makes all the difference. By focusing on solutions like the work triangle and maximizing vertical storage, I wanted to help readers create spaces that feel both functional and enjoyable.
For me, the best part was realizing how small adjustments could transform a cramped kitchen into a space that feels inviting.
This post marked the end of an incredible journey through House of Tan. Designing a club house that reflected my family’s heritage and values was deeply personal, and sharing it with you was a joy. Each room told its own story, blending functionality with meaning.
House of Tan was about more than just beautiful spaces. It was about honoring my family’s history while creating a space that feels alive and welcoming. The Heritage Room, with its gallery wall of family photos, and the Outdoor Terrace, a space for quiet reflection, stood out as favorites for readers.
This series reminded me that a home isn’t just where we live—it’s a reflection of who we are.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by clutter, this post was for you. It broke down the process of getting organized into manageable steps, emphasizing that small, consistent actions make the biggest difference.
Organization isn’t just about tidiness—it’s about creating systems that support your life. Whether it’s the three-box method for decluttering or scheduling regular reset sessions, this post was all about building habits that stick.
This post is a reminder that taking the first step, no matter how small, can lead to transformative change.
Sometimes, all you need is a little tweak to make a big impact. This post shared simple home improvement ideas, like rearranging furniture or adding greenery, that breathe new life into your space without breaking the bank.
Your home should evolve with you, and these easy updates help it do just that. From decluttering to introducing cozy textiles, these changes are as practical as they are transformative.
This post proved that you don’t need a massive renovation to make your home feel fresh and functional.
Writing and sharing these posts has been such a rewarding journey. Each one represents not only a piece of my life but also a chance to connect with you and help make your homes more organized, functional, and meaningful.
As I look ahead to 2025, I’m excited to dive into new topics and projects. But before I do, I want to hear from you. Which post was your favorite? What would you love to see more of in the coming year?
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Here’s to a year of beautiful spaces, heartfelt stories, and meaningful connections!
