As a beginner organizer, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the tasks that need to be done. But with the right advice, you can make the process easier and much more efficient.
My best piece of advice is to start by creating a system that motivates positive habits.
It will make it easier to stay on top of daily tasks, keep your home tidy and can create a more positive attitude towards home organization.
When you set out to create your home organization system, assign tasks and duties for every adult in the home that will be helping you maintain a tidy house. You don’t have to do it alone after all!

Once you have the basics down, finalize your system by following my 3S Formula – Simplify, Streamline, Sustain.
Simplify your family’s to-do list to make it more engaging, as simpler plans are easier to manage and more likely to be successful. Keeping the process as straightforward as possible will ensure that even the kids can be involved.
Any routine can be made more efficient, especially when it comes to housekeeping. Simple things such as zoning – where you create a dedicated zone for a specific activity – can have a huge impact on the amount of time you spend cleaning.
Other ways you can streamline include sorting, labeling and having a dedicated space for everything.
Think of it this way:
Shopping at your favorite supermarket is like taking a leisurely stroll – you know exactly where everything is located and can find what you need quickly and easily. But at a new store? That’s a whole different story – it’s a treasure hunt where you search high and low for the essentials!
Finally, make sure your system is sustainable.
To ensure your home organization system remains sustainable, it’s important to create realistic goals and expectations.
Also, don’t forget to check in on your system periodically to make sure everything is running smoothly.
By following the 3S Formula, you can ensure that your home is always clean, organized, and free of clutter.
With a little bit of effort and dedication, you can make a system that is simple, streamlined, and sustainable – and one that will benefit your whole family for years to come!
So don’t be afraid to start creating your own home organization plan – it’s the first step towards a more organized household.
